Fabrication of the second BM-T700 motion compensated platform

13 August 2015

Barge Master is currently building their second BM-T700 motion compensation platform. As of August 2015, the metalwork of the three skids is completed at Breman Machinery, and the Bosch Rexroth cylinders are awaiting their chance to show their strength. The system will be ready for deployment in Q1 2016. By then, the Barge Master fleet can welcome it’s youngest sibling.

The recent project in the Philippines showed one of many applications. The platform can be used for safe motion compensated lifting, supply of modules and precision tool handling. The active motion compensation eliminates the time waiting on weather, reducing total project costs.

With the new BM-T700 available soon, the two BM-T700 systems can also be used in parallel. This doubles the payload capacity to 1400 mT, allowing for even more applications in the Oil & Gas, Offshore Wind, Marine Salvage and Heavy Civil industries.

At the moment one BM-T700 is available directly in Singapore.
