Technical Business Developer

Company description

Job description:

As a Technical Business Developer, you’ll bridge the gap between engineering and business. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their needs, propose tailored technical solutions, and contribute to the development of new motion-compensation innovations. This role offers the opportunity to take on real responsibility and shape the future of offshore technology.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside engineers and commercial colleagues to identify opportunities and deliver value to clients. You will report to the Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to clients, guiding them through our products and services.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team, translating client needs into technical specifications and project deliverables, ensuring accurate settlement and client satisfaction.
  • Identify new business opportunities and work with clients to customize technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, becoming their trusted technical advisor.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, project progress and market trends.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, providing technical insights to enhance product development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Affinity with technical sales or commercial engineering; experience is a plus, not a must.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and customer-focused mindset.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Dutch.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, project support and trade show participation.

If you are a proactive and technically proficient individual with a passion for sales and client relationships, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity!
