Engineer

The Candidate
Barge Master is looking for an Engineer with strong technical and organizational skills. The candidate is soon to graduate, a recent graduate, or has some working experience, with a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Technology or Offshore Technology. Equivalent technical fields can be considered. The following competences will make you a successful candidate:

• Experience in design
• Skills in mechanics (materials, calculus, dynamics)
• Affinity with engineering tools (calculation tools, Matlab)
• Affinity with mechanical systems and drive & control systems
• Creative
• Self-supporting and accurate
• Social skills (team work, communication with subcontractors and clients)
• Flexible (working under pressure, dealing with new situations and unknowns)
• Motivated and dedicated 
• Good understanding of the English language (verbal and written)
  
  

As an Engineer at Barge Master you are at the heart of the company, involved in all parts of the design and engineering process. You are responsible for:

• Setting up specifications for new Barge Master platforms
• Engineering works for projects in which a Barge Master platform will be used
• Outsource engineering works and manage subcontractors
• Project planning, budget, and scope
• Providing input to clients, the engineering manager and other members of the project
